IGNOU launched water conservation courses

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) launched new courses for water conservation. The two special areas of courses are Diploma in Watershed Management (DWM) and certificate in Water Harvesting and Management (CWHM) for July 2012 batch. The students who have basic knowledge in water harvesting, conservation and utilization of water can select this course. Diploma in Water Management (DWM) and Water Harvesting and Management includes the basic aspects of the agriculture like integrated farming techniques like crop husbandry, agroforestry, animal husbandry and fish farming. These courses also include the aspects like soil erosion and its management.

New web portal for skill development

Mallikarjun Kharge

Central government started a new web portal for helping the unemployed people. They will provide facilities for new job oriented courses. The people can know about the new job vacancies in this portal. Special training for new jobs is the aim of this new portal. This web portal is very useful for students, educated women and men. Union Minister for Labour and Employment Mallikarjun Kharge was inaugurated the new web portal on Thursday. Labour and Employment Ministry’s new web portal was developed by the software firm Hewlett-Packard, India.

Railway Recruitment 2012

Board of railway recruitment conducts recruitment program for the post of senior engineers and junior engineers. The number of vacancies is 6449. Senior Engineers age is in between 20 to 35 years. The Junior Engineers age is in between 18 to 33 years. The selection procedure includes written test and certificate verification. The written test will conduct for two hours. That consist 150 objective type questions. The test has negative mark for any wrong answer. The qualified candidates must attend the interview with their original certificates. The last date for the application is April/04/2012. The written test will be conducted in September/09/2012. Candidates will get application form from RRB’s official site.

GATE Entrance Exam Results 2012

The results of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering are published on March 15 at 10 am. The results will be available on the IITs and IISc GATE websites. The score of GATE is valid for two years. The person who qualified in this test will get scholarships of government, engineering college’s assistantships, institutes or Universities. The test took three hours and it was conducted in 170 cities across India. Totally test conducted in 860 centers.

State Bank of India Recruitment 2012 (9500 Vacancies)

State Bank of India has published a recruitment notification for the post of Clerk and Stenographer. There are 9500 vacancies for these posts. SBI has 8500 vacancies for clerical post and 1000 for stenographer. Selection is based on written test and interview. The on-line registration will start from 05.03.2012. Test will be conducted on 27.05.2012 and 03.06.2012. The last date for the Registration of Online Applications is 26.03.2012. The minimum age for attending this test is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 28years. The educational qualification is 60% in plus two and 55% for SC/ST/PWD/XS.

CANARA BANK RECRUITMENT

Canara Bank of India

Canara bank which is the most leading public sector bank in India announced recruitment for probationary officers. Candidates having valid IBPS score card can apply to the post of P.O in Junior Management Grade Scale. Candidates can apply online and any other means of application will not be accepted.

The available vacancies are 2000. Opening date for online registration is on 30th January and the closure date is on 15th February. Last date for application payment is on 15th February. Age limit is 21-30.

BANK OF INDIA RECRUITMENT OF GENERAL BANKING OFFICERS

Bank of India recruitment of general banking officers

         Central Bank of India announced Recruitment of general banking officers in scale-1 for the candidates. Total of 1800 vacancies are available for the posts. The recruitment is only for the graduate candidates with valid IBPS (common written examination) score card. Candidates can only apply through online. Last date for submission of application is on January 31st.

Eligibility Criteria: Graduates with minimum 60% marks in aggregate. Candidates belonging to the Reserved Category (SC / ST/ OBC/ PWD) will be entitled to a relaxation of 5% marks.

Required IBPS Score: Total  standard score for general is 130 and for reserved is 117.

Age Limit: 21-30. Age and eligibility will determine based on the date 01-07-2011.Upper age Relaxation is allowed for scheduled castes or tribes by 5, OBC by 3 and physically challenged by 10.
