BANK OF INDIA RECRUITMENT OF GENERAL BANKING OFFICERS

Central Bank of India announced Recruitment of general banking officers in scale-1 for the candidates. Total of 1800 vacancies are available for the posts. The recruitment is only for the graduate candidates with valid IBPS (common written examination) score card. Candidates can only apply through online. Last date for submission of application is on January 31^st.

Eligibility Criteria: Graduates with minimum 60% marks in aggregate. Candidates belonging to the Reserved Category (SC / ST/ OBC/ PWD) will be entitled to a relaxation of 5% marks.

Required IBPS Score: Total standard score for general is 130 and for reserved is 117.

Age Limit: 21-30. Age and eligibility will determine based on the date 01-07-2011.Upper age Relaxation is allowed for scheduled castes or tribes by 5, OBC by 3 and physically challenged by 10.

The President of India Smt. Prathibha Patil has approved the Padma Awards for the year 2012. There are 109 awardees in 3 categories namely Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri. There are 5 Padma Vibhushan winners, 27 Padma Bhushan winners and 77 Padma Shri winners. The awardees also include 19 ladies.

Agneepath to hit screens tomorrow

Agneepath is the first major release of Bollywood in the year 2012. The movie is a remake of the 1990 Hindi film of the same name ‘Agneepath’. The 1990 film had Amitabh Bachchan in the leading role giving life to the character ‘Vijay Deenanath Chauhan’ and actors like Mithun Chakraborty, Madhavi, Rohini Hattangadi, and Danny Dengzongpa in other supporting roles. The remake has Hrithik Roshan stepping into the shoes of Mr. Bachchan. The character ‘Kancha Cheena’ played by Danny Dengzongpa in the original movie has been turned over to Sanjay Dutt. The remake also includes Priyanka Chopra, Rishi Kapoor, Zarina Wahab and Om Puri as supporting cast. The title ‘Agneepath’ was inspired from a poem written by Harivansh Rai Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan’s father. The poem creates a thematic link through the movie.

Aakash Tablets, the cheapest Tablets available in the market, is under severe criticism from the Indian Cellular Association. The Association has officially written a letter to the HRD Ministry, pointing out that it is based on outdated technology and inadequate specifications. The Association also continued to add that the project to make cheap tablets should have been handed over to large and integrated global players like, Samsung and Nokia who have global reputation in making similar devices. Instead the project was handed over to DataWind, a lesser company as compared to the likes of Samsung, Nokia etc. The association sternly believes that the partners have a minimum turnover of Rs 500 crore, net worth of Rs 100 crore and a service network of at least 200 points across the country. The association also felt that the project could have been handed over to an Indian Company also.

He also led India to World Cup glory in the year 2006 at South Africa in first ever T20 World Cup. It was all praise for Dhoni as his team lifted the T20 World Cup without a coach. He is considered a genius in the shorter versions of the game. He has been the mastermind of India’s success in the previous years. He took India to No.1 in rankings in all forms of the game.

It is very difficult to compare the economy of India with China. The entire world is looking to these countries. The GDP growth rate in these countries is really amazing. Both these countries have ancient civilizations and the economies are controlled by number of social and economical factors. The economy of China is more developed than India. India is the 11 the largest economy in case of exchange rates. China is in the second position after U.S. Indian GDP is around $1.3123 trillion where Chinese GDP is around $4.9092 trillion. Indian GDP growth is 8.6% where Chinese GDP growth is 9.6%.

India has paid all oil debts. News was disclosed by Mahmoud Bahmani, Central bank governor of Iran told to the IRNA news agency. The payment was done in cash not by any bartering system. India is the second largest oil buyer of Iran. The Indian interest of repay the debts by bartering system or by any goods was rejected by Iran. Thus the five billion Dollar debt was cleared.

India was struggling to pay the amount for last six months. The main reason was the American pressure on the grounds of Iran’s nuclear programs. Tehran was beaten by the International agencies for the Uranium Enrichment Process. Both U.S. and European Union placed prohibitive restrictions on the transactions with Iranian banks and financial institutions. Many Asian and European banking channels were using New Delhi to pay the amount to Iran. Those actions were closed by the regulations.

Amitabh to enact Anna Hazare

Amitabh Bachchan is all set to enact Anna Hazare in his new movie titled “Satyagraha”. He is teaming up with Prakash Jha once again after “Aarakshan”. “Aarakshan” was based on the policy of “Caste based Reservations” on government jobs and educational institutions. So it seems the failure of “Aarakshan” to attract people has not put off Jha from taking the issue of corrupt system in India. Everyone knows what is the most sought after news in India right now thanks to Anna Hazare. So why not make a movie on the subject. And when you have got an actor as big as Mr. Senior Bachchan himself everything seems to be at the right place. Though Jha is reluctant and is rather cautious in revealing more on the movie and states he is still working on the script. He doesn’t want to reveal more on the movie and sources close to him indicates the movie is set to be on the floors by January 2012.
